Andrea recently concluded her service in the Department of War, where she served as a civilian member of the Senior Executive Service. Most recently, she was Deputy Director of the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA). Prior to DTSA, Andrea held several senior national security and space policy leadership roles, including Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Space Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Director for Space Policy at the National Security Council, and Director for Space Strategy and Plans in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. Andrea will play a pivotal role in advancing AV’s space, cyber, and directed energy priorities, and we look forward to the leadership and expertise she will bring to the team.

AV and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory have been testing next-generation rotor blades for Mars helicopters!  Recently, engineers tested new blades at supersonic speeds, reaching Mach 1.08 in a simulated Martian atmosphere. Longer blades and higher speeds help increase the lift capability of future Mars 'copters by 30%, enabling heavier payloads and longer range. These tests collect data to be integrated into SkyFall, a mission AV has developed in partnership with NASA JPL, designed to send three next-generation Mars helicopters to the Red Planet in December 2028. https://lnkd.in/g87KRTRA Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech

Equipped with 36 kg (80 lbs) of payload capacity, true six-degree-of-freedom flight enabled by ten thrusters, and speeds up to 4.3 knots, Wraith enables operators to execute demanding subsea operations with greater precision and efficiency.
