We live in a time of uncertainty. Funding landscapes shift. Political winds change. And yet, our communities still show up—for each other, and for the future they deserve. The Year of the Fire Horse is meant to be one of courage, forward momentum, and decisive action. In 2026, Tamara Chao is excited to share that this means at the Asian Pacific Fund: https://lnkd.in/gXykaCCj

Thank you AAPI Data and Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) for moderating an insightful conversation around AANHPI giving at this moment. APF’s President and Executive Director Tamara Chao was thrilled to join the panel alongside Chun-Yen Chen and Kyung B. Yoon to talk strategy and opportunities for increasing charitable giving. Tamara shared “it’s clear our communities are deeply invested in mutual aid and a desire to make a tangible impact. APF is proud to be a foundation that mobilizes these resources to benefit our greater AANHPI community.”
Did you know AAPI adults are more likely to give to crowdfunding campaigns than the national average? 📈 Our newest report on the State of AANHPI Charitable Giving reveals a community that is deeply committed to giving back: Crowdfunding:32% of AAPIs participate (vs. 21% nationally). High Charitable Engagement: 85% of AAPI adults made charitable contributions in the past year. This rate is higher than the national average of 79%. Whether you’re a funder or a community member, these insights are essential for understanding the future of philanthropy. Read more at https://lnkd.in/gcggTzzg
