The Asian Pacific Fund is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Chang-Lin Tien Leadership in Education Award. As the only program of its kind in the nation, each year, the Tien Award recognizes an AANHPI who has achieved significant academic accomplishments and demonstrates the potential to advance to the highest leadership levels in higher education. It honors the legacy of Dr. Chang-Lin Tien, a founding board member of the Fund and the first AANHPI to head a major US research university when he became chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, in 1990. The Asian Pacific Fund (APF) is seeking proposals from experienced, culturally competent consultants to provide strategic communications support as we advance our mission to uplift Bay Area Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) by mobilizing resources and amplifying our voices to drive positive change and create an inclusive, thriving society. We’re looking for someone with demonstrated skills in social media strategy, community storytelling, visual communications, email marketing (Mailchimp), and integrated communications planning.
