We're joining researchers from Cornell University's Global AI Initiative for a virtual symposium on responsible AI for the Global South. The 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹–𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 brings together researchers to explore AI safety, African language technologies, governance, and societal impact, with the goal of turning discussion into action. 📍 KNUST and Gallaudet University Hold Inaugural Seminar on Inclusive Education and Accessibility 📍 The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), in collaboration with Gallaudet University, hosted the inaugural KNUST–Gallaudet University Seminar under the theme “Beyond Words, Towards Connection” at the Great Hall, KNUST. The seminar brought together university leaders, researchers, students, policymakers, disability advocates, and members of the deaf community to discuss inclusive education, #accessibility, innovation, and stronger support systems for deaf and hard-of-hearing persons in Ghana and beyond. The engagement also marked an important step in strengthening #collaboration between KNUST and Gallaudet University towards advancing accessibility, research, and inclusive development.
