Transforming Army Acquisition: Introducing the UAS Marketplace The character of war is evolving, and the Army’s acquisition processes must evolve faster. That’s why we’re introducing the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Marketplace - a digital storefront delivering vetted technology with verified specs directly to our Soldiers. Hon. Brent G. Ingraham, Army Acquisition Executive, emphasized: "The UAS Marketplace is a prime example of how the Army is transforming its acquisition processes to be more agile, competitive, and effective. By lowering barriers to entry and partnering with a wider range of industrial innovators, we are building a more resilient and responsive defense industrial base, essential for equipping our force and deterring our adversaries." 💡 Why It Matters: ✅ Faster Capability Delivery: Soldiers get the right tools, right now. ✅ Lower Barriers for Innovation: A wider range of industry partners can collaborate with the Army. ✅ Strengthened Defense Industrial Base: Ensures readiness and deters adversaries. The UAS Marketplace is a key step in operationalizing the U.S. Drone Dominance Strategy and advancing Acquisition Reform to ensure the Army is ready for the challenges of tomorrow. 🔗 Learn more about the Marketplace here: https://lnkd.in/en-G69sJ #ArmyModernization #DroneDominance #Innovation #AcquisitionReform

  • Forging the Future: U.S. Army Activates CPE Mission Autonomy The U.S. Army has taken a monumental step in modernizing our forces with the official activation of the Capability Program Executive Office for Mission Autonomy (CPE Mission Autonomy). This new organization is dedicated to revolutionizing military operations by developing interconnected unmanned systems capable of autonomous action. During the activation ceremony, Maj. Gen. Clair Gill, Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Maneuver Air, explained that the new office will revolutionize U.S. Army operations and the very art of maneuver. He stressed that these technological advancements will impact the life of every soldier and provide our Army with a much-needed edge in future conflicts. Brig. Gen. Anthony Gibbs now leads this crucial initiative. He affirmed that to maintain our strategic advantage, the Army must not only keep pace with technological change but actively set the pace, and that CPE Mission Autonomy is the Army's commitment to that goal. The work done by CPE Mission Autonomy will be critical in developing the future of planning tools, ground vehicles, and unmanned systems, ensuring our soldiers are the best-equipped in the world.
