Chirag Khanijau I SO enjoyed our conversation and I think we could have probably gone on for days about how to approach the technical buyer. Check out the podcast below to hear how the Appfire Marketing team is living the developer experience by adopting the very tools we sell and work in the agile methodology to truly understand our buyers. Full CXO Spotlight Podcast episode is officially live across platforms: Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eYNWMq7b

What do most companies get wrong about marketing to technical buyers? I just interviewed Catherine Solazzo, CMO at Appfire, whose tools are used by 55% of the Fortune 500. She's spent 20 years marketing to technical buyers across IBM, TD SYNNEX and now Appfire. One thing she said that stuck with me: "Unless you've truly been in a dev team, it's very hard to understand what resonates with this audience." Her whole marketing team now runs like an engineering squad. Squads, two-week sprints, Jira. Living the developer experience. 3 insights from our 50-minute conversation: - The marketing funnel is more chaotic than ever - AI has completely disrupted how technical buyers discover solutions - On the hype: "SaaS is dead. Show me how that's possible." My favorite part was how she thinks about precision over volume. Less with more investment behind it, not more with less. Want to hear the full conversation? AI agents are clocking in… but who’s managing their badge access? If your agentic AI can deploy to production, it should have a badge and an employee ID. Or, at the very least, we should be able to easily differentiate between our human and AI contributors. When we can’t see what’s going on, that's when things get out of control. We’ve moved beyond the question “Are we using AI?” and are quickly entering the realm where we need to ask, “Do we have the visibility and governance maturity to manage it properly?” Check out this piece from IT Brew featuring Appfire’s Director of Engineering, Surya Mereddy, which explores the topic further: https://bit.ly/3N33W4N
