Apartment Therapy and The Kitchn are 2026 Webby Awards Honorees! Apartment Therapy’s Rebuild, Relocate, Rethink: What Happens To Our Homes in a Changing Climate package was recognized in the Websites & Mobile Sites - Best Writing (Editorial) Category. In this editorial package created and edited by Senior Lifestyle Editor Lizzy Francis, we set out to highlight the inherent connection between climate change and real estate through 7 incredible stories from homeowners and renters on the frontlines. We did a deep dive into changing home-building materials and single-use zoning policy, featuring personal essays from writers in homes in Scottsdale to Mexico Beach to outside of Asheville who are rethinking their future as a result of the state of the planet. Check out the full package here: https://lnkd.in/eR7NJQBD The Kitchn’s “So Glad You Asked” social video series was honored in the Social & Games - Food & Drink Category. In this first-ever series, Culinary Producer Rachel Perlmutter shared her top hosting tips for making Thanksgiving fun, delicious, and as easy as possible through a dynamic (and delicious) social-first lens. See what made Rachel’s advice so memorable here: https://lnkd.in/eJc8eW_U This recognition reflects the creativity that our team brings to helping people live happy, healthy lives at home. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees and finalists! 👏

You’re at the end of a job interview and the recruiter or hiring manager asks, “Do you have any questions?” While it may feel like a formality, the questions you ask during an interview can help you gather meaningful insight about the role and company — and going beyond the typical questions like team structure and next steps in the process can communicate a lot about you as a candidate. Our Director of Recruiting, Katie Kallam Jolly, shares 5 questions she loves hearing from candidates during an interview: 1. What current challenge is the team facing that this role helps to solve? This shows you’re focused on impact. It signals that you want to contribute to the team, not just understand the responsibilities of the role. It can also give you a clearer picture of the team’s priorities, how they define success, and where you could make a difference from day one, if hired. 2. What makes you proud to work at this company? A simple but powerful way to understand company culture is through hearing about lived experiences. When employees talk about pride, they reveal what truly matters to them and whether they feel connected to the work. And it also shows you care about potentially being a thoughtful representative of the organization. 3. What keeps you at this company after X number of years? Communicating a long-term mindset suggests you have genuine interest in both your future and the company’s. The interviewer's answer to this question can often reveal what the company consistently delivers over time — whether that’s development opportunities, leadership support, or a diverse company culture. 4. What gets you excited about coming to work in the morning? By going deeper than surface-level culture questions, you can better understand what energizes people day to day and what exciting team projects really look like. It also hints that you’re someone who wants to be engaged in your work, not just check boxes. 5. How have you seen the company (or team) change and evolve over the time you’ve been there? Organizations change and adapt, and this question shows that you’re nimble and willing to grow along with the needs of the company. The interviewer’s response can reveal a lot about leadership and how the company handles challenges, which often shapes the employee experience more than anything else. Most importantly: remember that you are interviewing a company just as much as they are interviewing you, so take advantage of the opportunity to share your values and determine whether they truly align with the role in question! Every spring, The Kitchn presents The State of Home Cooking, a comprehensive report predicting how home cooks will experience food in the year to come. Our research uncovered that in 2026, home cooking is more central to daily life than ever. More home cooks are preparing every meal at home, every day. And with that consistency comes a new need: variety. Welcome to the Year of Everyday Experimentation. For brands, this creates an opportunity to meet consumers at the moment of inspiration — when experimentation turns into products added to cart.
