About us

Alexander Wang LLC is a global luxury lifestyle brand defined by sharp design, cultural duality and the elevation of the everyday. Since 2005, the brand has built a world shaped by contrasts — where refinement meets irreverence, precision meets ease and tradition intersects with what comes next. Season after season, the brand continues to evolve while subverting convention and remaining rooted in a distinct and uncompromising point of view. Founded by Alexander Wang, a first-generation Chinese American who grew up in San Francisco and built his label in New York City, the brand is informed by a perspective that bridges East and West, drawing inspiration from the intersections of culture, identity, and modern life. Spanning womenswear, unisex, footwear and accessories, Alexander Wang continues to shape the way luxury is worn, seen, and understood. Alexander Wang is available at alexanderwang.com, across our global DTC stores, and at leading retailers worldwide. Follow us @alexanderwangny

  • Now open at The Wang Contemporary: Guest House: Welcome Home by Zhou Xuerong Thank you to the friends and supporters of the foundation who joined us at the opening reception. Ten life-size wax sculptures bring familiar icons from Western pop culture into the rituals of everyday Chinese life: sipping tea, practicing calligraphy, playing the erhu. The exhibition explores memory, identity, cultural exchange, and the space between the familiar and the uncanny. It's Guangdong-based artist Zhou Xuerong's first U.S. institutional presentation, and The Wang Contemporary's second exhibition since opening in Chinatown earlier this year. Founded by Ying and Alexander Wang, The Wang Contemporary exists to give Asian and Asian-American artists a real stage, and to make ambitious contemporary art free and open to all. On view Fridays–Sundays through September. Free admission, registration required: thewangcontemporary.org

  • Now open: alexanderwang at Oakridge, Vancouver   alexanderwang llc. continues its North American retail expansion with the opening of a new destination at Oakridge, marking the brand’s second location in the Canadian region.   Designed as an expression of the brand’s evolving retail language, the space is defined by brushed stainless steel panels and fixtures that create a sharp, industrial shell. Sculptural lava stone furnishings anchor the environment, introducing tactile contrast against refined metal surfaces and balancing raw materiality with architectural precision.   The opening extends the brand’s distinctive retail experience to Vancouver, continuing its exploration of space, materiality, and design.

  • ALEXANDER WANG AT THE MET GALA 2026   Alex Wang, Founder and Creative Director of alexanderwang llc., attended this year’s Met Gala in celebration of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibition, Costume Art, under the dress code Fashion Is Art.   Attending with supermodel Irina Shayk, Wang presented a custom look conceived as a wearable archive, drawing on Surrealist principles. Functional objects are recontextualised as fashion, with chains replacing seams and clasps replacing stitching. Watches anchor the body as both closure and focal point, while mixed jewelry forms a fluid, sculptural system that blurs the line between adornment and construction.

  • Introducing the Griphoria — alexanderwang llc.'s first-ever wearable 3D-printed stiletto. Six years in the making, the launch of Griphoria set a new benchmark in footwear innovation. Developed with HILOS and Carbon, it was engineered as a true product — not a prototype — built for durability, precision, and wear. We rethought the construction of the high heel, fusing multiple materials into a single, seamless silhouette — lightweight, structurally sound, and exacting in finish. Produced in hours, without molds or excess waste, Griphoria represents a fundamental shift in how footwear is designed and made. Enabled by Carbon’s advanced 3D printing technology, it delivers both technical performance and design precision at scale — setting a new standard for luxury footwear.
