The City of Hilliard, Ohio USA is attracting a next-generation workforce with TruePointe, a live-work-play development featuring homes, restaurants and office space. This roughly $250 million investment is expected to bring approximately 500 jobs to the community while helping Hilliard retain and attract local employers. Thanks to the community involvement of AEP Ohio’s economic development team, we were able to support the project early. Our economic development grant funded critical background research to confirm the site was a perfect fit for Hilliard's growth. That research helped bring TruePointe to life faster. Partnerships like this happen when our team is already involved in the communities we call home. We’re proud to support Hilliard and the work that’s building its future. This year, through our Local Economic Advancement Program (LEAP) grants, AEP Ohio is donating more than $461,000 to 18 economic development organizations across the communities we serve. This Arbor Day, the only thing our foresters love more than trees is keeping the power on. That’s why they work year-round, carefully managing growth by trimming and clearing trees that could threaten the reliability of your power. From beautiful redbuds and strong oaks to the state-favorite Ohio buckeye, hear directly from our foresters on which trees they love most. And learn more about the work they do at AEPOhio.com/Trees.

Nearly 30 AEP Ohio employees celebrated #EarthDay by giving back where it matters most — right here at home. Our team rolled up their sleeves to pick up trash from two southeast Columbus parks to help keep our community clean, safe and beautiful. We’re proud to partner with organizations like Keep Columbus Beautiful and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to support the neighborhoods where we live and work. This is what #PowerForGood looks like in action. Learn more about our #volunteer efforts: https://lnkd.in/gyVt5E6j 💚🌎

We are proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Energy and SB Energy to bring $4.2 billion in transmission infrastructure investment to Southern Ohio, and we are especially proud that our partnership protects Ohioans from shouldering the costs of that investment. This site holds historic significance for both energy and national security. As Ohioans, we’re honored to be a part of its redevelopment. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g5TXbBq8

The majority of AEP Ohio customers who lost power in Friday's windstorm should be restored today, but that doesn't mean our work is done. Our president and COO shares more about the work happening across our service territory and our appreciation for customers and crews. #AEPOhio #WeAreAEPOhio

Thank you to The AEP Ohio Foundation for their rapid emergency funding to cover overnight staffing, unexpected overtime and other unplanned storm-related expenses.
