“Adjusto has direct, intimate experience with contents claims, so they are very knowledgeable of how contents claims should be managed and existing challenges felt by both adjusters and policyholders that need to be addressed.” - David Beck, Snapsheet Inc Adjusto is proud to be a partner of Snapsheet, helping carriers modernize contents claims inside the workflows adjusters already use every day. By embedding Adjusto directly into the Snapsheet platform, carriers can reduce friction across the contents process with: ☑️ AI-powered valuations using live market pricing ☑️ Faster, more consistent settlements ☑️ Fewer manual handoffs and spreadsheets ☑️A more transparent experience for policyholders ☑️ Lower LAE and reduced operational strain everyday and during CAT events This partnership was built around a very practical problem: contents claims are complex, emotional, and operationally heavy for claims teams. We know from experience that technology alone does not improve claims outcomes. The most meaningful solutions are built by real people with firsthand experience in the realities adjusters and policyholders face during a loss. Adjusto and Snapsheet together give carriers a way to remove one of the biggest operational bottlenecks in property claims without forcing adjusters to leave the systems they already rely on. #LetsGoAdjusto #Snapsheet

#Minnesota is not a state most people associate with #wildfire season. But this summer, state experts are predicting 12 to 16 days of impactful wildfire smoke across Minnesota from Canadian wildfires alone. That sentence would have sounded unrealistic a decade ago. Now it’s becoming normal. The bigger takeaway for the insurance industry is that catastrophe exposure is no longer confined to the regions we historically expected. Minnesotan homeowners will face smoke damage, indoor contamination, lingering odors, delayed claims, and health concerns. These losses are becoming more widespread, more complex, and harder for policyholders to navigate, especially when the damage is not immediately visible. And unlike wind or hail, smoke has a way of following people long after the event itself is over. At Adjusto, we spend a lot of time thinking about what happens after the headlines fade: ☑️ How documentation gets handled at scale ☑️ How contents claims are validated accurately ☑️ How adjusters maintain trust during emotionally exhausting losses ☑️ How carriers prepare for catastrophe patterns that no longer follow old maps The geography of risk is changing faster than most workflows are. What regions are surprising you most right now from a CAT exposure standpoint? #LetsGoAdjusto

Thank you Guidewire Software and Laura Drabik for giving us the opportunity to share Adjusto’s story with your InsurTalk audience. https://lnkd.in/gbTEaNk5
After the fire is out, the rebuild is done, and the family has moved back in, one part of the claim is still open. It's almost always contents. This is the stage where trust is either built or lost. It’s where you can win a renewal or see it go to a competitor. Sometimes, even a disagreement over a soap dispenser can make you lose a customer’s home, auto, boat, and everything else they have with you. That's the problem Adjusto set out to solve, and the work that brought them into our Insurtech Vanguards incubator program. On the latest InsurTalk, founder and CEO Michael Balarezo joins Laura Drabik to unpack why contents is the industry’s blind spot and what $170 billion in at-risk premium has to do with it: https://bit.ly/4eQzshN

“You’re not allowed to go back… the National Guard came through and they’re barricading all the streets, no one can get in. But you kinda just want to know, you want that confirmation. Is my house still there? What’s the state? Am I safe?” On the newest episode of The Salty Adjuster Podcast, Michael Balarezo sits down with the host to talk about how experiencing his own wildfire loss as a claims adjuster shaped his life and inspired him to found Adjusto. On the latest episode of Guidewire Software’s InsurTalk podcast, Michael Balarezo sits down with Laura Drabik to discuss the most overlooked challenges in contents claims. The conversation also explores how Michael’s experience as both a former adjuster and a wildfire survivor shaped the vision behind Adjusto, and why the future of claims must balance technology with empathy, speed, and trust. Thank you to Laura and the entire Guidewire team for the opportunity to share our perspective and participate in a broader conversation about improving the claims experience for policyholders and adjusters alike. Trust is a pillar of our company values at Adjusto. And it’s more important to us than ever in an environment where claims fraud involving AI is on the rise. According to a recent article in Insurance-Edge.Net, AI is industrializing fraud. What’s changing is the speed, scale, and believability, from synthetic identities to manipulated photos and videos. Meanwhile, most claims organizations are still relying on workflows designed for a different era. That’s where additional losses and leakage start to build. And where trust starts to erode. When it comes to an AI-forward world, processes built 20+ years ago weren’t designed for this new norm. They rely on manual review, static documentation, and point-in-time decisions. That worked when fraud was easier to spot. It doesn’t hold up now, when: - Fraud looks more legitimate on the surface - It moves faster than manual review can keep up - It repeats across multiple claims, not just within one file Working with a partner like Adjusto means being able to trust in AI that is tuned specifically for the work adjusters do, improving workflows and reducing inaccuracies. From a claims standpoint, that means: - Validating inputs, not just reviewing what’s submitted - Structuring data more nimbly, especially across photos and inventories - Looking across claims to identify repeat patterns and potentially root out fraud The real exposure here isn’t adopting AI. It’s relying on outdated legacy processes that were never designed to detect it. https://lnkd.in/gb6JiRX8

The Adjusto team loves spending time in the great outdoors when we can, which is one reason why we’re grateful to see May designated as Wildfire Awareness Month. Nearly 85% of wildland fires in the United States are caused by humans, according to the National Park Service. That is an absolutely devastating statistic for many homeowners, let alone the claims adjusters, carriers, and restoration professionals who seek to make families whole again after catastrophic loss. Wildfire preparedness is not only about protecting structures. It’s about protecting people, preserving communities, and reducing the downstream strain placed on already overwhelmed claims ecosystems when disaster strikes. At Adjusto, we exist because we believe the claim should never be harder than the loss, and we support being present in nature in responsible ways.
