Leading up to our official launch of Add2Creatives in 2024, we sought to learn all we could about running a small business, mostly through webinars and in-person events. That same year, both of us eagerly joined a book study of Brené Brown's "Dare to Lead" with other women, including business owners, educators, and professionals from various industries.   This book, backed by Brené's research and personal stories, delves into several ways any leader (and anyone!) can level up their courage to benefit the people around them, whether at work or in their personal lives.   But what's stayed with us the most is how to be more candid communicators. To sum it up: "Clear is kind, unclear is unkind." 👀 What does "clear is kind" look like? It can be: - Talking directly to someone about an issue, NOT behind their back - Encouraging honest feedback from your co-workers and employees - Detailing your expectations for a project, role, or task.   Since reading "Dare to Lead," we've locked into this practice while operating Add2Creatives.
