In partnership with Anthropic and Perplexity, I brought together Stanford engineers to go from idea → working product in a single day. It was our first ever Stanford Accel Leadership Program hackathon. 🔍 Perplexity’s Kesku unveiled their newest Search API, giving builders the flexibility to choose any model for their LLM stack. 💻 Anthropic’s Thariq Shihipar and Kashyap M. ran a live 5-minute quick start on Claude Code that allowed even non-coders to ship fast. 7 teams. 12 hours. Zero excuses. Winning projects: Voicera (AI fraud detection) 🥈 Daily Brief (custom daily podcasts) 🥉 Trail (local personal memory) The gap between idea and product has never been smaller. The builders who move fastest and choose wisely, win. We’ve all seen how powerful coding models have become. But inside large enterprises, generating code is now the easy part. The hard part is navigating years of context. That’s where Steve Basher and the team are focused at SolveAI. The team moves with urgency and depth. And they’re grounded in one belief: enterprise AI only matters if it delivers in production. Today SolveAI comes out of stealth. Excited to announce the pre-seed we led and Series A led by our friends at GV (Google Ventures). Excited for the journey ahead and congrats Steve Basher and team, welcome to the Accel family!! 🚀 Lucy Wimmer Tom Hulme Northzone Never Lift Mantis Venture Capital Outlier Grove

Today, SolveAI comes out of stealth, announcing its pre-seed round led by Accel and Series A led by our friends at GV (Google Ventures). While coding models are reshaping the way software is built, shipping is still hard, especially in the enterprise. Steve Basher, formerly a forward-deployed engineer at Palantir, founded SolveAI to change this and put software creation in the hands of the people closest to the work. Their AI development platform lets any employee describe their needs in plain language and generate a proposal in seconds. Its specialized agents then handle development end-to-end, from planning through ongoing maintenance. Read more from Cecilia Wang about SolveAI’s team, what they’re building, and where they’re headed next. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/ey-Tprvd

Accounting has become one of the most complex jobs in the enterprise. Global operations and shifting regulations have pushed the work well beyond “closing the books.” Yet the industry has stayed stubbornly manual. Matt Harpe and Mitchell Troyanovsky founded Basis to build an AI accounting platform that can actually do the work end-to-end. Basis customers tell us it changes the way they operate, allowing accountants to focus on higher-value tasks. Today, we’re announcing that we’re leading Basis’s Series B. Read more about the round from Miles Clements, Joshua Fang, and Christine Esserman. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eZVQzD7y

AI systems are becoming part of how businesses operate day-to-day and how people make critical decisions. As that shift gains momentum, the standard for building these systems increases. Capability matters. So do judgment, safety, and clarity about how these systems should behave in the world. We are continuing to support the team at Anthropic because they build with discipline and quality and know how to earn trust over time.

Fluency has raised a US$6M seed round led by Accel to solve the $600B enterprise AI problem. For decades, we hired brilliant people to move information from one system to another. To remember context that machines forgot. To make decisions that should have been automatic. Now, enterprises are rushing to deploy AI faster, but 95% of these initiatives will fail because companies can’t identify where it will actually yield ROI. Current enterprises AI deployments will fail because: 1. They have no way to universally map how their enterprise functions, with zero visibility it’s impossible to determine where AI will help 2. They rely on process mining, consultants, employee anecdotes to deploy AI. This misses 95% of context behind work which is essential for agents to actually function. That’s why Oliver and I built Fluency. We believe that humans will be able to solve at the highest level of abstraction while AI handles everything else. It is only possible if AI can be deployed on the right problems, the right workflows, with perfect execution. Fluency creates a living model of how work flows across your enterprise - capturing the context, decisions, actions and results that no system can see today. The understanding of how people concurrently work and think to solve the most challenging problems. This has enabled our customers Aon, PVH Corp. and HMH to identify where AI will deliver the highest leverage before spending a dollar, prove ROI with data on every AI initiative to their board, and optimize workflows org-wide. Today, we surface your best AI transformation opportunities, show you how to optimize them, and prove ROI in one platform. Tomorrow, we’re building towards the autonomous enterprise, where humans can solve the toughest problems in the world whilst agents handle all other tasks. Massive thanks to Abhinav Chaturvedi, Siddharth Prabhu, Accel, DST Global Partners, Carya, Mixture of Experts, Archangel Ventures, NextGen Ventures, Brad Tabone and all that support us. To the team: You’re building the AI foundation for the world’s most important companies, thank you. We’re hiring world-class engineers in San Francisco (data, full-stack, AI/ML) who want to build the future of enterprise work. DM me. If you’re a CEO, COO, CIO or leading AI/ digital transformation and tired of guessing which pilots will work - let’s talk. Looking forward to seeing you at our dinner series this year.

I spent so much time trying to stay on top of customer feedback, iterating on product, and closing the loop with customers at Treasury Prime - it's what separates good teams from great teams. But it's also exhausting. That's why I'm excited to share that we raised a $4.4M pre-seed with Accel and Inovia Capital to build Modem: an AI teammate that continuously ingests, understands, and acts on feedback so teams can ship faster. It's been game-changing for us, but let me know what you think. Signups are open. https://lnkd.in/dhftPzr9
