You're short on time and resources for outreach programs. How can you effectively prioritize your efforts?
With finite time and resources, it's crucial to streamline your outreach programs. Here's how to get the most impact:
- Identify key objectives. Focus on programs that align closely with your core goals.
- Leverage existing networks. Use established contacts to amplify your message efficiently.
- Assess and adapt. Continuously evaluate what’s working and pivot as necessary.

Plan, Align, Execute, Monitor, and Evaluate all your efforts collaboratively. Engage relevant stakeholders and experts. I suppose it would be helpful alot.

Some things I've found helpful are: 1. Request volunteers to help meet a strict timetable and address resource needs. Volunteers can help you achieve your goals, especially if the mission is to uplift the community. 2. Apply for small grants (e.g., city funding) that could meet your resource needs. 3. Consult the community about what they view as most urgent to address and prioritize your time and resources in that direction. Focusing on one or two priorities will keep your momentum and your demonstrated productivity could be helpful in your solicitation for more resources in the future. 4. Partner with a community organization to combine outreach efforts. It could help achieve your efforts within the timeline and help to stretch resources.

This is a great opportunity lean on the relationships you’ve built and nurtured: 👉 Be vulnerable & share what you need and what your limitations are 👉 Ask for the help you need & ask for their ideas of possible other solutions 👉 Ask for introductions and referrals, build partnership opportunities 🫵 But wait! ✋if you’re not regularly nurturing your network TODAY you won’t have them when you need them TOMORROW

I would begin probably by focusing on the measurable goals. Who are the stakeholders? Prioritize your efforts to the intended audience. Utilize your connections. Leverage partnerships and collaborate with them. Are you being effective with your outreach? Evaluate and adjust when needed.

Perspective of local government and transportation outreach: One thing that I found helpful was to utilize the free or low-costing resources available. For example, after learning about the work from different teams (planning, marketing, operations, etc) I was able to ask for help from team members from different department to deploy the outreach. This help looks like: receiving transportation to the outreach sites and enlisting help with loading the vehicles for outreach. #ittakesavillage #crossfunctionalcollaboration
