If you are experiencing this, I'm wishing you ease and gentleness with yourself. Here is what I would recommend: In the moment when you are experiencing the negativity - have a practice that you can do to keep yourself grounded. Simple example: feeling your feet on the ground or rubbing your finger tips together. After the moment passes - jot down all of the things you experienced, how it made you feel and what you wish you could have said or done or what you wish would have happened. Then find some way to discard it (ie. rip it up, burn it, throw it out). In anticipation of the moment - remind yourself how loved you are by others in your life. Gather evidence that refutes the negativity. Because you are ^! Rooting for you.

In such situations, I try to maintain my inner balance by reminding myself that I control my reactions. I carve out moments to recharge—whether that’s stepping away for a brisk walk or a few minutes of quiet reflection—to keep my energy positive. I also create a respectful environment by calmly expressing what I need and by seeking guidance from a trusted colleague or mentor. Sometimes to stay apart for a day. is helpfull. I consider more accurate to ask the colleague or co-worker if he ir she is having a hard time. Sometimes the person has too much in her or his plate and release some thoughts that help to enhance the workplace. Maybe something to improve in the facility or schedule.

The best way to effectively manage a difficult colleague is to first use the skill of discernment. This will help us not to take his behavior personally. In most cases, a difficult attitude and behavior indicates one's own unfinished business. In a later phase it might be helpful to have an open discussion with him during which we could share with him our experience of his attitude. If we have such a debate, we should certainly not be critical of him or show that we blame him for his attitude towards us. In any case, it will help us talk to a person we feel confident and know will listen to us very carefully.
