The first thing is to promote and inculcate #one_team culture as a value or team norm. As a manager, ensure everyone understands feel respected , inclusive and diverse by promoting open/transperant discussions. Enable team members to openly raise any concerns during team meetings. Take proactive measures to address them. Be a role model in respecting each other.

One thing I’ve found helpful in building better collaboration with teams, regardless of remote or global teams, is to focus on fostering trust amongst the team members. Often the exercises that I’ve found most impactful are the ones that are more geared towards who people are vs what they do. I take this approach largely because I believe people that trust each other can work through any challenge or take advantage of any opportunity.
