In a successful life coaching session it doesn't happen that often. However it is not at all a good situation for the life coach & the coache as well. Couple of things to keep in mind to avoid such situations: ➡️ Be clear about who you want to work with. As a life coach you should not work with anyone but depending upon your personal style should have an idea about an optimum student & work with only such people. ➡️ Try to be as much clear as possible about your life coaching style and your protocols. ➡️ Make sure the client or the coache understands the entire process and the possible ups and downs during the process of life coaching. ➡️ Don't be a salesman but be a life coach even when your are selling. Don't sell but guide instead.

I offer a free 60-min consultation call & have a questionnaire to complete before the client agrees to work with me to ensure they are committed. However, if a client doubts my coaching approach in the first session, I would - Acknowledge Their Concerns Without Defensiveness - Establish the Science & Logic Behind My Approach: real-life examples, proven techniques that have transformed thousands of lives. - Demonstrate Quick Wins: gives them a direct experience of how quickly their state or perspective can shift. - Align with Their Goals & Adapt If Needed - Offer a Transparent, No-Risk Approach. By handling doubts with understanding, expertise, and real-time results, I can turn skepticism into confidence—often creating lifelong clients.

Doubt is a natural and healthy part of the coaching process, and I actively encourage clients to express their concerns. It shows that clients are thinking critically about their goals, the coaching process, and whether it’s the right fit for them. To support this, I offer a chemistry session before we commit to a coaching agreement. This session is designed to provide clients with a safe, open space where they can explore how we might work together, ask questions, and voice any uncertainties they may have. I also value transparency in my practice. When clients openly share their doubts or concerns, it often reveals deeper insights. Ultimately, my goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

A client's doubt about my coaching approach is a resistance from their side. People come from different backgrounds and carry unknown baggage and this could be their resistance to change. 1. I would listen to their thoughts without judgement and gently explain that my approach has worked previously for a thousand plus people before them. 2. I would now request them to allow the session to progress and experience the uplift that all clients experience in the first session itself. 3. Then I would encourage them to see for themselves the effect of their effort in the following days on their journey to empowerment. Their own personal shift to a clearer mindset is the best way to dissolve any doubts and place trust in their guide.

Acknowledging their doubts without being defensive and reaffirming their goals is important. Explaining the approach/protocol with success stories and offer a small, tangible win would the positive tone. If needed, encouraging open communication, and building trust through patience and results.
