We all have deadlines and every deadline seems to be under the high-priority bucket which may lead to confusion and at times even frustration on which to prioritise first. Trust me, we’ve all been there. So, here are a few tips that I follow to smoothly sail out of this roadblock. 1) Jot down the tasks you feel are of most priority on delivery, budget and importance as a primary step 2) Next, prioritize based on Time and Resources. 3) Compare the two, highlight the common ones and begin with the most simplest to set the pace 4) Once you are done with Task 1, move on to a harder or the hardest task so that you can finish the biggies at first 5) Repeat the process until you’re done with your list

So, instead of freaking out and procrastinating for 40 billion hours, here's my top tips to stay on-top: 1) Categorise - Split your tasks into 4 categories, 'urgent and important', 'important but not urgent', 'urgent but not important', and neither 'urgent nor important'. Focus on the 1st category first, 2) Boundaries - Set boundaries by communicating with colleagues or team members about your availability and focus times. This will help reduce interruptions during critical work periods. 3) Time Intervals - Focus in on work for select time periods, typically 30min intervals.
