To ensure all voices are heard in team meetings, I make a conscious effort to create an inclusive environment. I encourage open dialogue, actively listen to each team member's input, and ask follow-up questions to ensure everyone has the chance to share their perspectives. I also structure meetings with clear agendas, giving time for each individual to speak. By fostering respect for diverse ideas and prioritizing collaboration, I help ensure that everyone feels valued and heard.

When I worked at Nike, collaboration was at the heart of every major decision, whether launching Giannis Antetokounmpo’s signature line or building marketing strategies. Ensuring diverse perspectives were included, from athletes to designers, led to our success. Similarly, integrating insights from players, coaches, and exec's with the Milwaukee Bucks was key to building a championship culture. 3 Ways to Foster Inclusivity in Meetings: 1. Encourage Open Dialogue: Empower junior team members to share ideas as freely as senior leaders. 2. Use Structured Input Tools: Round-robin discussions or pre-meeting surveys ensure all voices are included. 3. Practice Active Listening: Acknowledging input & acting on feedback builds trust & engagement.

Always check on your team. Some people feel anxious, uncomfortable, to speak in public (meetings), but it's your job to hear them anyway. Be open, be approachable, let them know that you are there to hear them. After a meeting, leave an open channel so your team can feel free to "speak up" and/or contribute by sharing ideas through emails, internal messages, etc.

What I would do is encourage everyone from my staff, regardless of the position and experience, to speak and give their opinion. I believe that everyone has something to add and benefit from.
