Eu gosto muito das reuniões de retrospectiva. Sempre as fazemos, e elas geram bons resultados nos projetos futuros. Tenho em mente que o design critique agrega muito ao projeto e ao time como um todo. Somos, muitas vezes, resistentes a receber críticas sobre nossos projetos e decisões, mas acredito que é importante levantar essas questões sempre que necessário. Isso torna o time mais maduro e ajuda a quebrar barreiras de conflito ao longo do tempo. Se o meu design não pode ser avaliado e criticado, então eu não sou um designer — é simples assim. Talvez o amadurecimento profissional nos leve a esse entendimento, mas, antes, precisamos da crítica para evoluir.

If we are talking about a project team that usually includes different disciplines like product management, design and engineering we are also looking at a team with different expertise. I‘ve seen many teams in which subjective taste of non-design professionals have been confused with design preferences. In these cases, it becomes the designers job/responsibility to separate useful feedback from taste to design a solution for the aligned project goals. While this may include (re-)establishing themselves as the design expert for the team, it doesn’t mean to shut down other perspectives. On the contrary, designers need to facilitate the conversation that aligns everyone and explains the design decisions and principles.
