I would acknowledge the feedback with an open mind, seeking to understand the influencer’s perspective and any underlying concerns. Engaging in a constructive dialogue, I’d clarify my approach, highlight its effectiveness, and be open to refining it if needed. If the criticism is valid, I’d embrace it as an opportunity to improve, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to collaboration. Ultimately, I’d ensure the conversation remains professional, solution-focused, and aligned with my core values.

I will open a conversation with the influencer to understand their perspective, for sure the conversation will be a constructive one.

Independently if it’s an influencer or not, I believe a feedback is always useful and should be considered as an opportunity to improve ourselves. I guess many times we assume this feedback would be negative, but what if it is a positive one? Would we spent so much time analysing it as we probably would if it was a criticism? So, no matter the comment is for or against us, I’d strongly suggest to take it into account and see how it can help you keep doing your best time after time. As a coworker learnt from a Professor and kept mentioning it every time we faced a new challenge: “When you think you have learned all the answers, comes along the customer and changes the question.” #lifelonglearning

I’d take the feedback seriously, but not personally. First, I’d try to understand their perspective. Are they challenging my approach or the results or simply offering a different perspective? I’d acknowledge their viewpoint and keep the conversation constructive. If I had data or real examples that supported my approach, I would share them to demonstrate why it works. I would also remain open to learning—perhaps there’s something valuable in their perspective that I haven’t yet considered. I would ask questions to maintain a dialogue, and if there was an opportunity for improvement, I wouldn’t hesitate to adapt. Ultimately, it’s about balancing confidence with curiosity—standing by what works while being open to evolving.

When an influencer critiques my approach, I see it as a chance to grow and refine my work. I start by assessing whether the feedback is constructive and relevant to my goals. If it is, I engage in a respectful dialogue to better understand their perspective, as this often leads to valuable insights. If the critique holds merit, I thoughtfully integrate it into my process, ensuring it aligns with my vision. While not all feedback will resonate, I believe staying open to constructive criticism is key to continuous improvement and staying adaptable in a fast-changing world.
