Addressing a team member’s shortfall in quality standards requires a direct yet supportive approach. Start with a private conversation to understand the root cause—whether it's a skills gap, workload issues, or miscommunication. Use specific examples to highlight concerns while reinforcing expectations. Offer guidance, training, or mentorship if needed, & set measurable improvement goals. Keep the conversation constructive, emphasizing their role in the team’s success. Follow up regularly to track progress & provide feedback. By tackling the issue head-on with clarity & support, you can help them improve while maintaining overall quality.

Address quality issues directly by identifying gaps, discussing them privately, and understanding the root causes. Offer support through training or resources, set clear improvement goals, and monitor progress regularly. If necessary, escalate the matter to leadership or HR. Taking prompt, fair action reinforces commitment to quality.

We must provide additional training for this team member about quality standards. Then we must be sure if him has reached finally our quality standards. In short, my opinion is that we must give most of the time a second opportunity, as this behaviour make the team stronger.
