A well-structured pay policy is essential for the company. Line managers must carefully verify data before submitting it to HR to ensure accuracy. Implementing a customized HRIS that generates reliable reports for comparison is crucial. Employees should also be consistently reminded to punch in and out to maintain accurate records. A pay structure that complies with labor laws helps prevent discrepancies. Most importantly, HR and Finance should collaborate to resolve errors rather than just highlight them. Each payroll cycle presents new challenges, making payroll a continuous learning process rather than a pursuit of perfection.
