This happens when you have technical experts in their own areas where the scope of work and deliverables overlap, I.e the gray area where responsibility is not clearly defined. You will have to make a choice between 1. Define the boundary of work between the 2 areas to avoid conflicts, ie remove the gray area. 2. Allow the overlap of work but set the expectations to highlight the difference of thoughts to you when it happens. As a leader, you can then play the mediation role. I'd recommend #2 as this allows for more effective and creative outcomes. It also indirectly develops the technical leads to be able to handle such conflicts in future and promotes trust.

Instead of assuming the caregiver knew what "Get resident ready for bed" was, the trainer clarified the steps: • Assist the resident into their pajamas • Help wash their face and brush their teeth • Assist them into bed • Shut off the TV and lights
