In my opinion, we can start with: 1. Sitting down and understanding their challenges. 2. Identifying the obstacles and providing necessary solutions, could be, resources like manpower, added technical support, delegation of some responsibilities. 3. Brraking down the goals into smaller goals 4. Monitoring weekly performance and rectify/change plans Also, last but not the least, one should do self introspection, if we have seriously given them realistic goals and deadlines!

As a team leader-I must assess the situation with empathy and check with my team member for any support required to him/her ensuring problem-solving approach while maintaining accountability for their work. We must always have the initial discussion in one-on-one, should understand the root cause, should provide solution/alternate/support required and clarify the expectations. This should also be followed by regular follow-ups and checking on time-to-time milestone achieved for ensuring timely deliverables.
