Having an on-site team and managing a remote site will always bring differences. - As a result of having both teams deliver an equal solution. - Changing the communication process. The remote team expect more frequent meetings. - All teams have at least one meeting per week together. - Showing differences to allow a better understanding of how such teams operate. As a team leader, I look for subjects/tasks to be completed and review which part of the team has the power to complete them, helping deliver what is needed.

From my perspective, one of the most impactful ways to support professional growth in remote teams is by building a culture of trust that encourages autonomy. When people feel trusted to take ownership of their work and make decisions, they’re more likely to push their own boundaries and pursue development opportunities. I’ve found that offering flexible paths to growth—like letting team members propose projects outside their immediate role or lead initiatives—often leads to more meaningful engagement than a one-size-fits-all training plan. Growth thrives where people feel safe to experiment, fail, and try again.
