Aviation is a precision industry. It is also the most dynamic at its finest. Yes, we do fly but never by luck or uncertain of our missions. We always, and must always have a flight plan and contingencies, and alternates etc. And the aircraft we fly too has triple redundancies on all of its systems. For example, three hydraulic systems, three navigation systems, etc. And they work independently, simultaneously. Therefore, our sources of data are precise, actual and forecasts weather conditions +/- one hour of estimate arrival time must be suitable for safe operations.
