I have seen maximum times companies are not transparent with their vendors about any hurdle they are about to face, once the work is done they just don’t care much about interest of vendors. In my experience if you are transparent with vendors at critical stages and give them some hint about the difficulties you are facing and ask for their support it can change the entire game, when you start being transparent in business relationship with your vendors they will stretch beyond your imagination and help you out.
