In my experience working abroad: - The first step is: you need to understand that you are living in a culture that is different from yours, don't try to change it; - The second step is: learn more about the culture, talking to a native person is a good way to understand it faster; - The third step is: adapt your feedback experience to the new culture. Mastering the language is very important to improve your feedback in a new culture.

Ask for Clarification: When you receive feedback that is unclear or delivered in a style you're not accustomed to, don't hesitate to politely ask for clarification. This not only helps you understand the feedback better but also shows your willingness to learn and adapt.

In my experience working in other countries and with people from different nationalities, the cultural mentality often influences the communication style. This means that, in order to communicate with others, you have to be somewhat familiarised with their culture and/or their personal approach. Here are my main tips to adapt to diverse feedback styles: 1. Make sure you are at least a bit familiarised with the culture and mentality of the country you are working with. That will help you know beforehand which communication style to expect. 2. Do not take the feedback personally! Feedback is meant to help you grow in your work and do better in the future. Without any feedback, there is little chance for growth. Take the feedback as your fuel.
