When resolving design conflicts with developers, I’ve found that building a collaborative relationship early on is essential. Involving developers during the initial design phase helps uncover potential technical challenges before they become roadblocks. I also use prototypes or simple mockups to visually explain design ideas, which makes it easier to find compromises that work for both sides. Additionally, I encourage brainstorming sessions where both designers and developers can share ideas and propose solutions together. This helps create a sense of shared ownership over the final product and makes resolving conflicts smoother.

We establish a unified design system, specifying essential elements like color palettes, typography, and layouts. In my team, we resolved the problem by using the same measurement. We convert any sizing measurement to rem instead of px. It bring consistency to our product especially in web platform. We also create many reusable component and agree with one design guideline that we developed in our design system. It makes the UI stable enough, even in some updates it don't need a high fidelity design to implement the update. Also do a meeting when the design team decide to update the reusable component and the design system is very important. It helps us to keep the UI consistency between the design and the actual deployed UI.
