Your team is divided on sales strategies. How can you align everyone towards a common goal?
When your sales team is divided on strategies, alignment is key to driving success. To bridge the gap:
- Host a collaborative workshop to discuss and integrate various ideas into a unified strategy.
- Set clear, measurable goals that everyone can aim for, regardless of their preferred methods.
- Encourage open communication and regular feedback sessions to ensure all voices are heard and considered.

Sales teams get stuck when strategy debates turn into a battle of opinions. The loudest voices push their ideas, but without proof, it’s just a guessing game. Instead of trying to force agreement, let the numbers do the talking. Test a few different approaches in real scenarios and see what actually works. People don’t need convincing when they can see the results for themselves. When a strategy proves itself, alignment happens naturally. No more debates, just a team moving in the same direction with confidence.

Like any other decision making process. Step 1: Clearly define what's the aim Step 2: Gather information, pros and cons of each strategy. Allow each player to make his case Step 3: Compare alternative solutions on implementation, effectiveness and potential results. Let opposite views go thru a critique process. Step 4: Weigh the evidence objectively and encourage all players to take the inside view. Step 5: Set measurable goals and how much time is allowed for results Step 6: Implement the actions, and allow the players to collaborate. Step 7: Review your decision and its impact. Remodulate.
