Hackers are always there to breach your security, and to save you from that, encryption of data is very important. Use highly secured database, end-to-end encryption.

Personally, I do the following to monitor my flight 1. I monitor the telemetry reading and message feed and stop flight if there are messages related to GPS interference, weak GPS signal, enter altitude zone, etc.

Monitor your flight from your ground control station, keep an eye on the drone if it is VLOS and if it is BVLOS then keep an eye on the camera to get all the real time update.
