In this section of the Starfield Walkthrough, you'll find a complete guide to Unity, the twelfth mission of the main story. Along the way, we'll show you where you can pick up key items, find collectibles, and any opportunities to snag some additional loot as you go in search of answers to just what The Unity is.

Talk to Keeper Aquilus
Head west from The Lodge to find the Sanctum Universum in Jemison. You can find Matteo waiting for you in a group, listening to Keeper Aquilus.
Raised Universal Trait
If you’re Raised Universal, you will have additional dialogue options and be able to ask for guidance during this discussion. This will also give you access to a chest inside the Sanctum Universum, just to the right of the room where Keeper Aquilus and Matteo will go in. Inside this chest, you can collect Sanctum Universum Vol 01, Sanctum Universum Vol 02, and Sanctum Universum Vol 03.
Enter the Sanctum Universum
Join Matteo and Keeper Aquilus in a meeting room inside Sanctum Universum to discuss what you know about the Starborn, the Artifacts, and Unity.
Talk to Keeper Aquilus
Keeper Aquilus will tell you a story about a Pilgrim who met the founders of the Va’ruun and the House of Enlightenment, giving them part of the truth. After doing so, he goes on to a final resting place, making Keeper Aquilius believe that the story is a code to find his resting place.
Talk to The House of Enlightenment
The House of Enlightenment can be found in The Well. Talk to Andy Singh here about Keeper Aquilius, Unity, and the Pilgrim.
Talk to the Va’Ruun Prisoner
Head over to the UC building in Jemison to find the Va’Ruun Prisoner. Ask about the Pilgrim and the prisoner will tell you a story about the Unbeliever.
Return to Keeper Aquilus
Keeper Aquilus will be able to put together the information from the stories and direct you to the Pilgrim’s final resting place.
Go to Indum II
Indum II can be found in the Indum System. Once you arrive at the planet, you can land straight at Pilgrim's Rest.
Go to Pilgrim’s Rest
Make your way over to the marker at Pilgrim's Rest, which is found in the southeast.
Search for Clues on Unity
As you approach Pilgrim's Rest, you'll be prompted to search for clues on Unity. To do this, you'll need to find four notes that the Pilgrim has written, which will give you the answers you need for the next step.
As you approach Pilgrim's Rest, head for the tent on the left marked on the picture below.
As you step inside, you'll be able to find one of the journals on the left, sitting on top of a white box.

From here, go southeast and past the Caelus Pokeweed. There's another building just to the left, behind the plants. In the northeast corner of the room, you can find a Storage Box and another journal to the left of it.

Turn left again, to go further into the building and you'll see another Storage Box. To the right of this one is an additional journal.

Now exit and go over to the building that was on the right as you approach Pilgrim's Rest. You'll be able to enter a room where there are Weapon Cases, Ammo Cases, a First Aid Kit on the wall, and to the right of it another journal.

Once you have this journal, open the door next to the First Aid Kit. Go over to the desk and you'll see a fifth journal from the Pilgrim.

With all the journals collected, you'll be able to get the answers needed to unlock the Computer terminal. This can be found to the right, by the door opposite the desk.
Access the Locked Room
To access the locked room, you'll need to interact with the Computer and answer a series of questions. We've noted them below for ease.

Search the Room
You'll be prompted to search the room after unlocking it. The last piece of the Pilgrim's writing that you need can be found to the right as you enter the room.

There are also a number of Storage Boxes for you to search, and if you look to the left, there are shelves with a bag in front of it. On here you can pick up Trackers Primer 02, which permanently increases ballistic weapon damage.

Read Pilgrim’s Final Writing
Be sure to read the Pilgrim's Final Writing and it will tell you that the truth is hidden on Hyla II, inside the Scorpion's Sting.
Find the Scorpion’s Sting on Hyla II
Return to your ship and fly to Hyla II in the Hyla System. It's quite far, so you'll have to Grav Jump to other systems along the route before you reach it.
Once you do, go to the ruins in the south. You'll come to a beacon of light coming down from what looks like a Scorpion's tail, and a Glyph in front of you.
Interact with the Glyph to activate it. You’ll need to use the four circles on the Glyph as if they were arrows, to move the light from the Scorpion's sting around until it hits the start of the Constellation image. This is the star on the far left.
Go to the Last Star of the Scorpius Constellation
Going to the last start in the Scorpius Constellation will lead you to The Hunter, and start the In Their Footsteps quest.
