The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has designated the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department and Ocean Rescue Division as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), recognizing their commitment to better serving and engaging with autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals in the community.
TARTA Move’s continued focus on fostering independence and community access for passengers recently took another step forward, as the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority’s (TARTA) paratransit division recently renewed its certification as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC). To renew the CAC designation, at least 80% of community-facing staff completed autism and sensory training to provide them with up-to-date knowledge of skills and best practices to best support all community members, including individuals with autism and sensory needs or sensitivities.
The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) proudly awards the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation to the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County (JWB). To become a CAC, at least 80% of staff completed autism and sensory training to empower them with the knowledge and understanding to best assist, support, and communicate with autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals. JWB went above that standard, with 94 percent of staff fulfilling the training requirements. By completing the training and certification, JWB becomes the second organization in Clearwater to earn the CAC accreditation.

As part of the ACSW process, Harvest will also receive a facilities review to provide additional recommendations to support the school’s students.
