Each year, one at-large board seat becomes available as part of our staggered two-year term structure. We're incredibly grateful to Fei Lauren for their dedicated service on the board from 2023 to 2025. As their term concludes, we’re excited to invite a new community member to step into this vital leadership role and help shape the future of the Drupal project.

Nomination Process

Candidates for the open community at-large board position should be self-nominated. This prevents electing candidates who have the support of the community, but who are unable or unwilling to serve. If community members feel a particular member would make a great board member, they should encourage that individual to nominate themselves. Community members who are of marginalized identities are highly encouraged to self-nominate.

Nominations can be sent to elections@association.drupal.org and must include the following information: 

  • Who are you? (biography/background)
    • Please include your Drupal.org username 

    • Please ensure that the information on your Drupal.org profile is up-to-date with accurate details about your current workplace and community involvement. 

  • Why are you running for a board seat at the Drupal Association? (mission/motivation)

  • Why should members vote for you? (qualifications)

  • Are you a member of the Drupal Association?

  • Are you willing and able to attend an open forum with the community on 11 June at 09:00 UTC and 17:00 UTC ?

  • Are you willing and able to travel to in-person board meetings?

Nominations open on 19 May at 00:00 UTC and close 30 May at 23:59 UTC. Nominations sent outside this window will not be considered.
