About the election
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated member to serve as President-Elect of the British Psychological Society from 2026–2028, followed by a two-year term as President from 2028–2030.
As President-Elect, you will support the President, champion the society's vision, and prepare to lead the organisation at the highest level.
As well as fulfilling their stated role, the President-Elect is a member of the Board of Trustees.
This is a prestigious, member-elected position at the heart of shaping the future of psychological science and practice in the UK.
We welcome nominations from individuals of all backgrounds who can contribute to a diverse and inclusive Board.
What you'll do as a Trustee
- Help set the strategic direction of the society
- Influence key decisions and uphold our charitable purpose
- Strengthen our reputation, manage risks, and support long-term sustainability
