A new player is about to enter the EV market and has already assembled a team of more than 1,000 people to work on the project. Previously believed to be released by Dreame, the car is actually coming under its own brand, which dropped a bombshell at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The Nebula Next Concept 01 is promising to come to a showroom near you sometime in 2027.

We had the chance to meet the Nebula Next 01 in person. It has an L-shaped matrix of headlights on the front, an active airflow guidance system on the sides and a full-width LED light bar for the rear lights.

Dreame is mostly proud of the Asymmetrical Opposite Opening door design, along with the hidden dual B-pillar structure. The two design solutions are based on seven newly secured global patents. The new door system excludes any handles and adopts biometric, touch-sensitive locks. We are somewhat curious how this would pass safety regulations, though, as we've already seen the issues with automatic doors on Tesla vehicles in the past.

The body is made of aerospace-grade steel with torsional stiffness of more than 45,000 Nm/degree.

The headline features are the class-leading aerodynamic efficiency and the 1.8s acceleration from 0 to 62 mph. Unfortunately, there's no word on other specs such as battery, charging or range.

The first mass-production model will officially launch in 2027, and has the ambitious goal of competing directly with the likes of Bugatti. If that's indeed the case we should be hearing more about the Nebula Next over the rest of this year.
