About Mark Pickavance

Mark is a highly experienced writer with extensive knowledge that pre-dates the internet and even personal computers. Since the 1980s he’s been a prolific publisher across numerous publications in both print and online, and specializes in reviewing laptops, phones, networking hardware, drones and storage devices.

What was your first phone and what do you remember about it?

Nokia 5110 - and I recall it was practically indestructible. It might even still work now.

How long have you been interested in technology?

My father was an engineer in the glass industry, so I was always keen on tech and making things

What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?

I love drones and 3D printers. Each offers a degree of freedom and escape.
