What is the Early Reviewer Programme?
The Early Reviewer Programme (closed now) encouraged customers who had already purchased a product to share their authentic experience about that product.
The Early Reviewer Programme encouraged customers who had already purchased a product to share their authentic experience about that product, regardless of whether it is a 1-star or 5-star review. Amazon depends on reviews to learn more about products. This programme helped to acquire early reviews on products that have few or no reviews, helping shoppers make smarter buying decisions. Customers who have purchased a product in the Early Reviewer Programme may have been asked to write a review. Customers who submitted a review within the offer period received a small reward (for example, a £1–£5 Amazon.co.uk gift card) for helping future shoppers.
1. Can I trust these reviews?
Yes. We only asked customers who had already purchased the item and were eligible to write customer reviews. We asked customers for their authentic experience, regardless of whether that was a 1-star or 5-star review. Any customers were eligible to write an Early Reviewer Programme review as long as they purchased the item and had no history of abusive or dishonest reviews. Amazon does not modify or remove reviews from the Early Reviewer Programme as long as they comply with our Community Guidelines. For more information, go to Community Guidelines.
2. How will I know if a product has a review from the Early Reviewer Programme?
Early Reviewer Programme reviews can be identified by an orange badge that says Early Reviewer Programme
