1$\begingroup$ Do you have a map of the world? Knowing how the land and water are distributed would help. $\endgroup$Anubia-Bastet– Anubia-Bastet2022-07-03 19:26:00 +00:00Commented Jul 3, 2022 at 19:26

$\begingroup$ Hello Drewch, welcome to Worldbuilding. Your Q would have benefited from our Sandbox. It's far too vague and expects far too much for our Stack. (Read the following two Help Center pages: help center and help center). We try to avoid closing new user questions, but climate is insanely complex. It's not just the distribution of land... it's mountains and deserts and forests and the topography of land underwater... We need more than just the map @Anubia-Bastet asked for. We need a lot of details. Can you provide them? $\endgroup$JBH– JBH2022-07-04 07:08:27 +00:00Commented Jul 4, 2022 at 7:08

2$\begingroup$ It reads like you are essentially talking about splitting the world into boxes of say 1km x 1km x200km, then hitting the shuffle button, then asking what will be the weather. Which is very open ended, beyond answering with "chaotic and messy". $\endgroup$Gault Drakkor– Gault Drakkor2022-07-05 00:02:48 +00:00Commented Jul 5, 2022 at 0:02

1$\begingroup$ Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, "too complicated to answer with that lack of detail" is a useful answer in itself. I'll look into the sandbox, as recommended, and try to definitize things a bit more. $\endgroup$Drewch– Drewch2022-07-08 13:48:19 +00:00Commented Jul 8, 2022 at 13:48

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. science-based), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
