A build server might reduce the hurt, but it will still be there. Then next year, we can read a question about a bad team member on a team with all the "right" tools. To be fair, a build server might be a workable short term fix.

They should be doing that anyway, and it may well be that the "difficult" guy would be happy to do that job.

Sacking anyone even more so. Unless your job is an unimportant in which case they wouldn't be jumping up and down.

| Sep 16, 2020 at 11:33 | comment | added | Антон | He dug hole for everyone, but he will take least damage when we all fall. He has good cushion of being core maintainer, and our team was just his side job to fill quota, he also doesnt have to pay rent to avoid being homeless and can take being fired (which is unlikely for him), not much luck for me though. | |
| Sep 16, 2020 at 11:23 | comment | added | Kilisi | So? This is a good outcome, you warned the bosses so it's not your fault.... he's digging himself a hole. Let him explain to management. | |
