• It seems to me that Yoast SEO is still using a term that has been retired.

Just after a Post’s title is the “Permalink”. However in Yoast SEO on the Edit snippet screen is the “Slug”. Those who have been using WP for a while know they’re the same thing. A newcomer won’t and will waste time trying to figure out what is the difference between Permalink and Slug. How about harmonizing Yoast SEO and WP?

  • Permalink – could include your domain
Slug – the piece of the URL that comes after the domain

@Rumejean Perhaps the general definition of permalink can include the domain name — in WordPress it doesn’t.
