Feel like this iOS web push is more trouble than it's worth. It's ALMOST good. Apple should have just given users an explicit option to subscribe to any website who offers push. Getting bounced into a PWA shell when you just wanna read an article isn't great. #iOS16

This happens semi regularly where there is some hot topic that gets a lot of attention. Previous complaints about over coverage: iPod/music, iOS/iPhone, Samsung lawsuit, Apple TV shows. We listen to feedback and adjust over time and things also just die down on a particular topic

Had the same thought this week. AppShopper was such a fun project. We finally shut it down long after we stopped maintaining it, but it was hard to let it go.
