LEADERSHIP

Leading in times of change.

Learning, Knowledge-Sharing and Connection drives CMDC leadership series. Our high-valued programs gathers media executives to further explore the most critical topics facing leaders today from commercial, talent, investment to innovation.

LEADERSHIP REPORT

In partnership with The Globe Media Group, CMDC releases the largest Leadership Study: Pushing Forward Through Uncertainty, which surveys over 200+ C-Suite leaders. This is a first-ever survey of Canadian media and marketing leaders exploring five key areas: leadership traits Canadian business executives believe are most critical to the future; the future of work; diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI); the commercial media outlook; and trust and partnerships.

MEDIA LEADERS SUMMIT

Over 400 leaders united to discuss the state of Canadian media and local news, all guided by CMDC Canadian Media Manifesto. The mission of the Canadian Media Manifesto is to help sustainably grow the Canadian media ecosystem that further supports the Canadian economy, fosters responsible media, and gives advertisers the opportunity to connect with diverse Canadian audiences. In collaboration with CMDC invaluable partners, we've set the goal, by 2025, to increase Canadian share of digital media investment to 25%. This equates to $350 million in funding to quality Canadian publishers in the next three years.

MEDIA LEADERS DINNER

CMDC hosts an annual dinner that gathers media and marketing leaders for inspired conversation with a guest speaker, networking and fine cuisine. Our latest dinner featured guest speaker Bill Taylor, founder of FastCompany, who shared expertise about the best way to compete, innovate and succeed.

Taylor is the author of three bestselling business books on leadership, culture and change. His Harvard Business Review blog and New York Times column, Under New Management, are devoured by executives and entrepreneurs around the globe.

January 2023 date to be released shortly.
