Good to see some taking notice, but tweeting does nothing and her warning is falling on deaf ears. People are not taking this seriously and there is no public awareness for 'flattening the curve'. Bars/restaurants were packed as usual in NYC last night.

I drove by one of the test sites today. They said everything is going extremely smoothly and anyone who needed to be tested is being tested. Very different from other places.

I ditched NYC for my PA home because I am convinced the city is going to look like 3x Italy alone. They didn't even close schools! Meanwhile in PA, LVHN has an online+phone screening and 10 test sites have been setup. People w/o insurance don't have to pay

Local Costco started putting 1limit/day/member on most basic stuff such as disinfecting wipes, toilet paper, flour, water, etc.. also I noticed they doubled down on the quantities stocked of their own Kirkland brand. They can probably control that supply chain better.

What do you do if you are stuck on 14nm for 1 more gen? If you are IBM you ask your physical design team to pull a rabbit out of a hat & double your eDRAM density so you can stick 355MiB of cache in your CPU and 960MiB of L4 cache in your system controller

IBM doubles its 14-nanometer eDRAM density, enabling the packing of hundreds of additional megabytes of cache on the latest z15 microprocessor and system controller.

Another interesting side-channel paper. This one exploits the way-prediction implementation on AMD CPUs to leak data.

AMD is bifurcating its GPU lineup going forward with a new 'CDNA' for data centers (HPC/ML). This mirrors what Nvidia has been doing and what Intel says it is doing.

AMD sees lots of packaging opportunities. 3D stacking will sure spark lots of speculations.

The labels for Cerebras/Habana (acquired) are switched, my apologies. Everything else is correct.
