    And keeping a film to 1hr 15m is a-ok with me 👌

There’s a lot to be said for a drama sticking to 3 rooms and a garden for a whole film. We didn’t even see upstairs. Love that restraint and focus.

I really enjoyed Sally Potter’s The Party. But I will watch most anything featuring Cillian Murphy and Timothy Spall. Also, monochrome chamber piece films ftw.

I think the greatest slightly drunk on a train album might be Loveless by MBV. It’s the precise level of woozy and interesting you need to stay awake.

I’d love to see a non-action take. Maybe it needs to be TV. Something more akin to Game of Thrones than Prince of Thieves. More of a Western feel.

I studied Robin Hood as part of my English degree, so always retain an interest in the character. Well, yesterday I tried to watch Robin Hood: Men In Tights again. Wow. I’d forgotten how bad that film is. Why do so many people get Robin Hood wrong?

Very much enjoyed the first episode of Call My Agent. It’s a French comedy set in a talent agency in Paris for those like me who are behind the curve. Now wondering what other foreign gems are streaming.

More niche music oberstaions for you. Bjork’s Human Behaviour sounds like it should have been part of the Goldeneye score. Eerily similar in ways that may boil down to something like ‘same drums’.

    La-da-da-da-dah. It’s the motherf*ckin’ M-O-double-G (Rees-Mogg!)

Oh no. My brain just started singing Dr Dre’s The Next Episode, but with Rees-Mogg instead of Snoop Dogg.

One of my favourite things about editing is having a critical thought about a clip, then hearing me say the exact same thought out loud in the clip. It’s almost as if it was actually the same me there directing.

If only sluice were more profuse. Is sluice misuse the main excuse? We should call a truce on sluice as such a word deserves a use.

I feel the need to tell Netflix that yes I do really want to watch a long lost, unfinished Orson Welles film but only after I gorge on over 10 hours of Daredevil season 3 thank you very much.

Remember when we shared what we'd eaten here? Actually kind of nostalgic about it. Today I ate banana pancakes and yoghurt for breakfast. I feel like a lifestyle blogger. See, harmless?
