    Vavra's political positions act as a lightning rod for this discussion, obviously. Context is everything & all that. His views and the division between art & artist should be discussed - it doesn't come up often in games.

    This is why somebody like Bayek in AC:O is so great. It's real, it works. So basically - more of that, please. If we're talking history, more like Bayek, more like Lincoln, please. We need to find the money & support to make more games with those sorts of characters happen.

    I have to admit, I'm one of those people who sometimes is jarred - despite my own race - at representation inserted where it wasn't in historically-based media. Some work around reality well - Battlefield One does it fabulously. Many don't, though. Many feel like tokenism.

    Specifically, I'm more interested in seeing more games that tell minority stories. I'd rather have that than repeated arguments over representation. Mafia 3 was special. Part of what makes Black Panther special is it's /driven/ by representation - it's no afterthought.

    But the actual question of POC in this game, this setting? Well, I dunno. I think I'd rather this than a caricature, a token. It's okay for games to have settings, especially historical ones, that aren't explicitly diverse. Diversity is a great thing, but it can have many forms..

    This doesn't excuse or touch on the political alignment of the staff, obviously. That is another issue and one people have to answer themselves - if they can separate the art from the artist. Even for those who can, it really should be an enormous caveat.

    I've been thinking about the representation in Kingdom Come a bit, and here's my take as a POC: Broadly, if they want to argue historical accuracy & choose to fall on the side of non-inclusion, I'm actually okay with it? Historians can be found to support both arguments, so w/e..

    The main problem with them announcing more DLC episodes for FF15 is that the episodes we've had so far are too frivolous to justify the cost of entry. If they're really going to stretch this game to 2019, further DLC needs to offer significantly more
