    As I argued in the piece, more transparency to the iPhone user is needed. What about a one-time notice when the system determines the battery is past the point at which it will support peak power use? This is overly verbose, but you get the idea.

    Excellent take by on the Apple/iPhone/battery/throttling thing. Explains why it's not nefarious. I wonder if any Android handset makers do this for the same reason as Apple?
