Labels can be used to organize your issues and pull requests into categories based on priority, category, or any other information you find useful.
Tip: You can also create a label in the Labels drop-down menu within an issue or pull request.
On GitHub, navigate to the main page of the repository.
Under your repository name, click Issues or Pull requests.

Next to the search field, click Labels.

Click New Label to create a new label.
In the text box, type your new label name.

A color is automatically selected for the label. You can customize this color by editing the hexadecimal number or clicking the refresh button for another random selection.

Click Create Label to save the new label.
