Instruments of Communion

Established to enable Anglican unity in the diversity of the Communion, the Instruments of Communion comprise the following:

Ministries

The ministries of the Anglican Communion Office currently include:

• ACO Secretariat
• Anglican Observer at the UN
• Unity Faith and Order
• Continuing Indaba Project

Networks

Official Communion networks exist to facilitate communication and co-operation between Anglicans on such issues as the Environment, HIV and AIDS, Indigenous People, and Health. Depending on their remit they may represent the marginalised in society; shine a spotlight on issues of poverty and injustice; and/or share information and best practice via this website and newsletters.

About Us

The Anglican Communion Office, based in London, England, at St Andrew's House, is the permanent secretariat for the Instruments of Communion. It serves the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates' Meetings and the Lambeth Conference, as well as commissions, committees and other groups.

Staff at St. Andrew's House come from a diversity of countries including Pakistan, Japan, Canada, Ireland, England, Zambia and Colombia.
