Training plays a critical role in the successful adoption of any new technology. Our vision and direction is to provide our customers with more choice with when, where and how they learn, with more training options, more locations and more cost effective learning solutions. Our announcements at IBC 2014 begin to deliver on this vision, which is just the start of an exciting program of innovation and new training products to engage with our customers—everywhere.
New Course MC400 (ACSR Editing Support Course) Will Replace Old CS400
The long awaited update of the ACSR program. We’re starting with the foundation of the program, the CS400, a complete re-write of this course, with Customer Support and Professional Services input to ensure we’re meeting the needs of today’s editor support engineer. A blended option, part e-learning and part classroom with more hands on, practical exercises. Less time in the classroom, more flexible learning approach.
MC101 and MC110 Media Composer Editing Courses in a City Near You
Where we don’t have coverage, we’ll look at offering public classes to meet local demand using mobile training gear. Initially, Media Composer classes will be offered in Atlanta, Cape Town and Hong Kong (subject to final confirmation), and roll out to other cities in 2015. Let us know if you have public class demand in your local area.
Streamlined ACSR Recertification
New editing, ISIS, and Interplay content and new exams, testing only new and relevant content, all now have the virtual delivery option. If you like the numbers, CS410, UN442, WG443, add the V for virtual option.
Public Admin and ACSR Courses at an Avid Learning Partner
Through trainer enablement and use of Avid’s training content, we’re extending our Admin and ACSR training delivery to the channel. Admin/ACSR courses will be offered by partners in Los Angeles, Dubai and Copenhagen with more locations/partners to follow.
iNEWS User Training and User Certification to be Offered via Avid Learning Partner
We see the biggest take up here being Academic Avid Learning Partners using iNEWS in their journalism schools and wanting to provide their students with structured iNEWS training and User Certification so that graduates can differentiate themselves when entering the job market.
iNEWS System Administrator Certification
This is a new Certification for Administrators. Experienced iNEWS System Administrators will have the option of taking a standalone exam and upon passing can achieve Certification, independent of attending an administration class.
Avid Developer Certification
We are launching a new Certification to tie into the MediaCentral Platform Connectivity Toolkit, allowing us to qualify the skills and knowledge of Developers wanting to integrate 3rd party products on the platform.
Whether you want to maximize staff efficiency, enable system administrators with ACSR credentials, or obtain the skills required to work in today’s top production facilities, our training and certification courses can help you achieve your goals.
