Jeff Forristal has been a security technology professional in the security industry for over a decade. His professional background includes all things security, spanning across software, hardware, operations/IT, and physical access control. Jeff has written multiple features and cover-story articles for Network Computing and Secure Enterprise magazines; he is also a contributing author to multiple books. Under the pseudonym “Rain Forest Puppy,” Jeff has been recognized as an industry expert in web application security and was responsible for the first documented security discovery of SQL injection, the first publicized responsible security disclosure policy, and the first intelligent open-source web application scanner. He has presented his security research in many forums, from established security events like BlackHat and CanSecWest to smaller regional conferences around the world.

Andrew Blaich is a researcher specializing in security, networking, and wireless technologies.  Andrew has worked at both Samsung and Qualcomm Research on next generation access control, kernel security, and indoor location systems for mobile devices.  He is currently taking care of business with the Android team at Bluebox so that you too can hear the pitter patter of secure BYODroids in the enterprise.  Keep calm and hack on.

Andrew has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame where he focused on enterprise security and wireless networks.

Felix Matenaar is a security researcher with a background in network penetration testing, program analysis and exploitation. He recently published work on dynamic program analysis using virtual machine introspection and its integration with automated reverse engineering techniques. His prior research topics covered static android application analysis, post-exploitation methods, malware analysis and SAP security. Felix currently enjoys hacking the Android environment at Bluebox.

Felix has a Bachelor in Computer Science from the German RWTH Aachen University.

Patrick Schulz is a security researcher in the field of mobile security and networking. Patrick has a background in binary instrumentation, reverse engineering and exploitation and built a collaborative Android reverse engineering framework. Previous he was in research at Dex Labs.  His current focus is on Android security dealing with the system internals and application vulnerabilities.   Patrick’s philosophy is “Carpe Noctem” – Hacking is like allaying your thirst for deeper understanding on how things work.

Patrick has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Bonn.
